Steering feels vague on my Clubman, anyone else noticed this?

My 2017 Clubman has developed a steering feel that I can only describe as vague. There's a bit of play in the wheel before the car actually responds, and on the highway it wanders slightly which is tiring on longer drives. It's not dramatic but it's definitely different from how it used to feel. I've checked tyre pressures and they're fine. Someone suggested it could be worn suspension components or steering rack bushes, but I'm no expert. I've been looking for a trusted MINI Cooper workshop in Musaffah Shabiya to get it properly inspected since I don't trust my usual place to diagnose something like this. Has anyone experienced vague steering on a MINI and what did it turn out to be? I'd like to know if this is a common wear item or something more serious.
